TESTICULAR ULTRASOUND OVERVIEW: The sonographer examines the right and left testicles, and the right and left epididymis with and without Doppler. The inguinal region is also examines. PREPARATION: No special preparation required for a testicular ultrasound This test can rule out and diagnose a number of problems such as (not limited to): · Testicular torsion · Identify masses or cysts within testicle/epididymis · Determine if a mass is solid or cystic · Determine the cause of testicular swelling The reason for the test will depend on your symptoms.
